Customer Loyalty

Are customers really loyal?

well some are...and companies try their level best to retain them as cost of retention is less than acquiring a new one.

LCD or Plasma

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I was going through the newspapers inserts for Black Friday deals and started to wonder as to what is the basic difference between LCD and Plasma? Which will last longer..etc etc etc....

I started to google about this and found what exactly is the difference between these 2 technologies.

LCD TVs use an LCD panel to create the picture. While Plasma TVs use gas suspended within glass panels and stimulated by an electrical field to create the picture.

Found an interesting article on about.com...
http://hometheater.about.com/od/lcdtvfaqs/f/lcdfaq2.htm

As far as which is a better and advanced technology, there are differences among opinions...I would let you decide what you think is a better buy. I found an article on tangible advantages feature by feature...

RFID - ROI?

I was wondering if any company has indeed saved money using RFID or is it still in experimental stages. I came acrosss this article which indeed has a case study about a company which owns more than 1,000 trailers in Canada has already generated a return on its investment. The active RFID tags, which are affixed to the fronts of trailers, help the dealership more easily locate the trailers and more accurately document inventory, thus reducing errors and labor costs.

SaaS CRM

Previously referred as On Demand and now SaaS (Software as a Service) CRM seems to be the flavor of the year....from big time vendors to niche vendors..all are into what they call On Demand or SaaS CRM.

What exactly is this SaaS CRM?

It is quite intersting to note that all the analysts (Gartner, Forrester etc.) have mentioned that by year 2010 SaaS would be the way to go. Take only what you need and when you need. You pay only for what you need and how much you use.....A-La-Carte and not the full suite.

Some of the analyst research can be found on salesforce.com website. Interesting read...

Human capital management or sometimes called as Human resource management ...logical meaning seems like managing resources, however it goes beyond that. It envolves anything and everything to do employees and business partners of an organization. Wiki summarizes it very well in the definition of HCM.
